Review on Mandarake: Online anime shop
I bought a very rare vintage(?) anime CD box set from Mandarake online last week, which is "Kimagure Orange Road Singing Heart 2". It's a soundtrack of the TV anime series, "Kimagure Orange Road". The anime series was aired in TV in Japan in late 80's and very popular among teenagers. Especially its trendy theme songs of the series were favorite of anime fans and still are widely listened by fans until now after 20 years that the anime series finished. The CD box was sold only for limited time in 1993 only to people who preordered. This had premium value ($$$) and I had a hard time to get the CD box (took me several years).Mandarake is a used anime goods shop established in 1987 in Japan. They have several branches in Japan now and very well-known among anime fans. Mandarake opened an online shop for anime fans outside of Japan recently. The online shop has menus in English, Spanish, Korean and Japanese. I used their English site.
The service was fantastic. I ordered the box on 18th and they sent the box to me from Japan on 19th by express. I got the item on 23th. It took 5 days. The condition of the item was extremely well - almost new one. I was very satisfied with their service and the item I bought.
If you are a big anime fan, and if you want to buy vintage anime goods, try Mandarake.

Hello Hanhee,
We saw Oldboy yesterday, and it is a very interesting movie. Telling the plot about it is however not very good, because it sounds dumb and easy to guess... I think this is one of the movies you have to watch as opposed to tell people about what it is.
Although at the end the plot is obvious, I think it is harder to guess than when you watch the Sixth Sense... a *very* boring and obvious movie... I can't belive people didn't know he was a ghost after the first 10 minutes.... anwyays... I digress...
About Mandrake, this seems a nice shop... however they don't have Cobra in their English website :(

And all DVDs are zone 2, and so far I do not know how to make my player multizone... though according to styx he is going to help me build an uber alienware-wannabe-pc and with this new one I should get a multizone.
I found a Sega Saturn game of the Slayers, had heard about it. Now I only need to find a Sega Saturn and I can buy both.
Other than that ... haven't found anything as cool on mandrake

I also heard that "Oldboy" was very good movie. I guess you already knew that the story was based on a (Japanese) manga. Was it gory?

Yesterday I tried to find the website with a crack codes but I was not successful. I found some commercial website that sells the software to crack the code. (I'll keep looking).
I usually browse the shop if there is any item interesting. It's not a daily event that you find something interesting. I found my "Kimagure CD box" after 1 year of searching. :)
